Celebrate
Rural Montgomery
is a year of events and educational presentations honoring the
25th anniversary of Montgomery County's Agricultural Reserve.
We are commemorating
the vision of past and present Montgomery County officials
to ensure that residents have easy access to rural landscapes
and fresh produce and a guaranteed legacy of working farms.
Through the Celebration, residents will have opportunities
to experience and understand the rural beauty, recreational
opportunities and economic value of the Agricultural Reserve.
The Celebration is being supported by a group of organizations
and businesses throughout the County.
Celebrate
Rural Montgomery
is a campaign of the Montgomery Countryside Alliance, whose
mission is to protect the Agricultural Reserve and thereby
enhance the quality of life, health and well-being of families
and communities. The Montgomery Countryside Alliance also
seeks to support and celebrate Montgomery County’s
historic commitment to protecting the environment, open
spaces, and rural and agricultural lands for current and
future generations of Washington metropolitan residents.
